Barry is a fitness instructor and has always been healthy. He was therefore shocked, four years ago, to find he had suffered a heart attack without knowing it and was suffering from major heart disease. His options were to have triple by-pass surgery, or try something new. The University of Miami’s Miller School of Medicine was looking for heart patients for an adult stem cell trial called “Prometheus.” Barry’s attitude was “why not.”
